About
Victor Harbor Childcare and
Education Centre.
Your community based
childcare centre.
We are very proud of
our Centre; it has a
strong community
focus and commitment
to providing the highest
in quality care and
education for all
children and families
who use the Centre.
Our Centre’s current rating is Exceeding
National Quality Standards, issued in August
2012. Assessment and rating is conducted by
the Australian Children’s Education and Care
Quality Authority (ACECQA). The Centre is
required to meet National Quality Standards
covering all aspects of the Centre’s functions.
We place great value on diversity and
freedom to be oneself; for adults and
children alike. We offer a relaxed and casual
setting geared to the needs, rhythms,
interests and well being of each child and
parent who is part
of our Centre
community.
We see that our
role is to support
you in your vital
role as parents and as such would like to
share as much information as we can about
your child. We have an open door policy
which means we encourage you to have as
much involvement in the Centre with which
you feel comfortable.
The Centre is a non-profit community-based
association. This means that our member
families determine how the Centre is
managed and this is done through our
Management Committee who are elected
annually at the Annual General Meeting.
Management meetings are held monthly and
all interested parents/guardians are welcome
to attend. The committee regularly seeks
input from families on a variety of issues.
Management is supported by a committee of
family members. Families interested in
shaping the future of our Centre are invited
to nominate for the committee at the Annual
General Meeting.
